A Picture-Perfect Stay: Photography and Videography Guidelines at Sea Island Resort

Capture the beauty of Sea Island, but respect our guidelines! We want you to enjoy your stay and share your amazing experiences, but we also want to protect the privacy of our guests and the integrity of our property. Here’s what you need to know about photography and videography at Sea Island Resort.

Professional Photography and Videography

Want to capture stunning images for your business or social media? You’ll need permission first! Sea Island Resort is a private property, and we have strict guidelines for professional photography and videography.

Unauthorized professional photography or videography is strictly prohibited. This includes advertising, catalog shoots, fashion shoots, and social media influencer content. Don’t risk being asked to leave!

But, we do welcome certain professional photography and videography under specific circumstances:

  • Media Coverage: Reporters and journalists are welcome to showcase Sea Island in their work. However, you must contact our Public Relations team in advance and provide official press credentials.
  • Social Media Content Creators and Influencers: We love to collaborate with talented content creators who want to share the Sea Island experience with their followers. Reach out at least a week before your arrival to explore potential partnerships. We’re always happy to help you create amazing content that aligns with our brand.
  • Contracted Events, Meetings, and Weddings: Photographers and videographers are welcome to document these events for both internal and external purposes. Just remember to provide your name and contact information, wear an official event badge, and be respectful of guests’ privacy.

Drone Photography and Videography

Soaring above Sea Island with your drone? Not so fast! For the safety and privacy of our guests, drone photography is generally prohibited on and over Sea Island Resort property.

However, we might make exceptions for specific events. If you’re interested in capturing aerial footage for a special occasion, you must contact us in advance and provide a copy of your FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification. Remember, drone photography is limited to event-related footage.

Your privacy is important to us. We’ll review all footage captured for the event and the finished product. Depending on the complexity of the shoot, we may require an escort, for which a $150 per hour fee will apply.

Personal Photography and Videography

Capture memories! We encourage our guests to take photos and videos to document their incredible experiences at Sea Island.

Personal photography and videography are allowed free of charge. Just make sure you keep your photos and videos for personal use only – no commercial use is allowed.

Here are a few things to keep in mind for personal photography:

  • Public Areas Only: Please be mindful of the privacy of our guests and take photos only in public areas.
  • Handheld Cameras Only: No professional equipment allowed.
  • Respect the Space: Use the space as intended and avoid impeding foot traffic.
  • No Tripods or Obstacles: Tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, and other equipment that could potentially disrupt the flow of traffic are not permitted.

Protect Our Brand: Please refrain from using any Sea Island trademarks, service marks, logos, images, and facilities in your personal photos and videos without written consent.
