They patiently explained the hotel’s features, especially the captivating garden, which they enthusiastically encouraged me to explore. Their kindness extended further, as they generously offered to reserve a table for me in one of the hotel’s renowned restaurants.

Vents strategically placed throughout the garden release a white mist, creating a surreal effect, as if the clouds have descended upon the garden itself.

As evening descended, I ventured into Mokushundo, a Japanese stone-grilled cuisine restaurant nestled within the gardens. The restaurant, housed in a beautifully renovated old home, served iron-kettle kaiseki cuisine and traditional dishes prepared right at your table. The friendly staff, dressed in traditional attire, greeted me warmly, and I was seated at a table reserved just for me.
The chef, fluent in English, joined me and explained the menu, creating a warm and engaging experience. The stone-grilling process was a delightful spectacle, allowing me to witness the chef’s skillful handling of the ingredients. From fresh vegetables and mushrooms to succulent Wagyu beef, each course was a celebration of Japanese flavors and culinary artistry. It was a truly unforgettable dining experience.
