A Solo Adventurer’s Paradise: Niijima Island Trip

Ready to escape the ordinary and embrace the extraordinary? Then Niijima Island is calling your name! Forget about feeling lonely on a solo trip – there’s always something exciting to do on this vibrant island!

Imagine this: snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, testing your courage with a thrilling cliff jump, soaking your worries away in a soothing onsen, or spiking the ball in a friendly beach volleyball game. And to top it off, you’ll be greeted with a delicious Sunday morning breakfast spread. Think freshly baked toast, fluffy eggs, savory sausages, juicy fruit, refreshing juice, and creamy milk. Your taste buds will thank you!

My personal experience on this island was nothing short of amazing. I even found myself dreaming about returning for another adventure, this time on Niijima Island!

Skiing Bliss at the Foot of the Mountain

Nestled in a picture-perfect location, the hotel is conveniently situated just steps away from the ski lift and a handful of delightful restaurants. Even better? A short stroll takes you to the gondola!

This ski destination caters to everyone, from seasoned pros to eager beginners like myself. The open course right in front of the hotel was my personal haven, offering a wide-open space to perfect my skills. I was fortunate enough to experience the thrill of fresh powder on both days of my trip, making it even more unforgettable.

The highlight of the trip? The captivating festival! From the warmth of the hotel or outside, we witnessed the mesmerizing display of energetic drumming, mouthwatering food, engaging entertainment, and breathtaking snow lamps. The atmosphere was simply electric! It’s no wonder I can’t wait to return for another dose of this magical experience. Highly recommend!

Kozushima: An Island Escape with a Touch of Hospitality

My first solo island adventure, Kozushima quickly became a cherished memory. While traveling solo, I never felt alone thanks to the amazing support from the staff and fellow travelers. One night I felt a bit under the weather, and the thoughtful staff and fellow travelers quickly came to my aid, ensuring I was well taken care of and able to enjoy the rest of my trip.

The boat ride to the island was a treat in itself! Equipped with comfortable amenities like a restaurant, showers, a sleeping area, and even a fun scavenger hunt, the journey was anything but boring. You can easily stock up on food, snacks, and even alcohol on board.

The island itself is a visual feast. The campground boasts excellent facilities, including washlet toilets, charging outlets, and breathtaking ocean views. Akasaki promenade is perfect for a refreshing snorkeling session, while the onsen near the campground offers a rejuvenating experience. And if you need to replenish your supplies, local shops offer a selection of food and beverages.

Tokyo Snow Club truly went above and beyond, providing delicious multi-course BBQs every night, followed by energizing breakfasts. I’m incredibly grateful to the staff for their dedication and hard work, making the entire trip truly memorable.

Scaling Mount Fuji: An Unforgettable Challenge

Climbing Mount Fuji was a life-changing experience. The trail is undeniably challenging, with steep inclines and rugged terrain. However, I wouldn’t have been able to conquer this feat without the incredible support of my amazing tour guides.

A special thanks goes out to Keiji, whose strength and determination helped me reach the 9th station. My backpack was becoming unbearably heavy, but Keiji’s unwavering support made the journey possible. I’m also deeply grateful to Yuki, whose constant encouragement kept me going all the way down the mountain.

Despite being the oldest member of the group, surrounded by young and energetic individuals, the age gap never felt like a barrier. The perfect weather throughout the entire trip was a blessing. We were treated to crystal-clear skies, stunning views of Fujinomiya during the night climb, and an unforgettable sunrise at the summit.

My advice to future climbers? Pack light! Bring only the essentials, as you can easily find everything you need for two days on the mountain. It might seem expensive, but the convenience is worth it. I highly recommend this tour with Tokyo Snow Club!

A Hike to Remember: Mt. Fuji with Tokyo Snow Club

The Mt. Fuji hike was an absolute blast! The camaraderie amongst the group was heartwarming, and everyone was incredibly friendly. I was lucky to have such a fun and supportive group, making this one of my most memorable trips in Japan.

The weather was perfect, and everything went smoothly thanks to the excellent organization and supervision. Without a doubt, I would rebook a trip with Tokyo Snow Club when I return to Japan in the future.

For any beginner taking on the challenge of hiking Mt. Fuji, I can’t recommend this team enough! Our guides, Yuki, KG, Steven, and Robin, were incredibly prepared, fun-loving, and always put our safety first. Their dedication ensured everyone’s needs were met throughout the journey. A huge thank you to Tokyo Snow Club!
