Discover Tokyo: Media Support for Your Journey

Planning a trip to Tokyo? The Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau (TCVB) can help you showcase the vibrant city in your media projects. We offer support to overseas media professionals creating articles, TV/radio programs, online content, or videos about Tokyo.

How TCVB Supports Media Professionals

We’re committed to boosting tourism in Tokyo and want to help you create engaging content that attracts visitors from around the world. To request our support, take a moment to review our terms and conditions and submit your application.

Once your application is approved, we’ll provide a range of support services tailored to your specific needs. These services are designed to help you explore the best of Tokyo and create captivating media that highlights its unique attractions.

However, please note that support services are limited to the Tokyo area, excluding pick-up service to and from Narita Airport. The specific support we can offer may vary depending on your project details and the potential impact of your media.

What We Offer

We are happy to assist you with the following:

  • Accommodation: Stay up to three nights in comfortable two- or three-star equivalent hotels. We can arrange accommodation for up to three professional journalists.
  • Transportation: Enjoy convenient travel around Tokyo with the Tokyo 1-Day Ticket. This ticket grants you access to the metro, buses in the city’s central 23 wards, and JR lines.
  • Airport Pickup: We can arrange for a pick-up service to and from Haneda Airport.
  • Guidance and Coordination: We can connect you with a local guide or coordinator for up to three days. The guide can help you explore Tokyo, while the coordinator can assist with filming, photography, and scheduling.

Please be aware: We do not provide payment for accommodation booked independently with your credit card. We also cannot offer the Japan Railway Pass or an IC-card for transportation. Furthermore, guides are not authorized to negotiate filming or photography permissions, which fall under the coordinator’s responsibility.

What We Don’t Offer

We are unable to cover any expenses not listed in the “What We Offer” section.
