Are you planning a magical trip to Tokyo Disneyland? Looking for a place to stay that captures the wonder of the park and offers comfortable rooms? Then the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel might be your perfect match! This enchanting hotel is a dream come true for Disney fans, offering a unique blend of fairytale charm and luxurious amenities.
A World of Magic: Entering the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel
Imagine stepping into a world straight out of a Disney movie! The Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is right next to the Disney Resort Line Station (aka the monorail) and the entrance to Tokyo Disneyland. It feels like a majestic blend of Main Street, U.S.A. and the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in Florida, with grand staircases, soaring chandeliers, and a festive atmosphere.
While there may be slightly longer lines at check-in, the public spaces are well-maintained and orderly, and the staff is incredibly helpful and polite. They even have English-speaking cast members, making it easy to navigate even if you don’t speak Japanese.
A Touch of Disney Magic: Themed Rooms & Prices
Ready to experience a fairy tale come to life? The hotel offers themed rooms inspired by beloved Disney movies and characters like “Alice in Wonderland” and Tinkerbell. We chose the “Beauty and the Beast” room, which was an absolute dream!
This beautifully decorated room featured jewel-toned furnishings, elegant accents, and a touch of Belle’s world. Castle-inspired drapes, ornate headboards with rose motifs, and themed bathroom amenities transport you to a fairytale setting. Even the beds, while firm (a common feature in Japan), were comfortable and cozy. The hotel also provides multiple sets of pajamas to borrow, which was a nice touch.
Now, let’s talk about the cost. Prices vary based on the date and room type, but the most affordable options start around $390 per night. What makes this hotel unique for Japan is that it offers rooms for three or four adult guests, perfect for families. Typically, room prices are for two adults and up to two children under 11, with additional fees for more guests.
You can book your stay online up to four months in advance. Be aware that popular room types tend to sell out quickly, so book early! You’ll need to pay a deposit of $200 per room at the time of booking, with the rest due at check-in.
A Delicious Start to Your Day: Dining at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel
The Tokyo Disneyland Hotel features three restaurants: Sherwood Garden, Canna, and Dreamers Lounge. Sherwood Garden offers a buffet-style dining experience, while Canna offers a more upscale dining experience. We decided to enjoy a casual breakfast at the Dreamers Lounge, which is located in the lobby.
The buffet was an absolute bargain! For just $24 for adults and $14 for kids 7 to 12 (only $8 for children 4 to 6 years old), it offered a delicious selection of Japanese and Western staples like miso soup, rice, scrambled eggs, sausages, pastries, fresh fruit, and juice. Even though it was a simple breakfast, the elegant atmosphere and refined service elevated the experience.
More Than Just a Room: Amenities & Activities
Beyond the enchanting rooms and delightful dining, the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel offers a variety of amenities and activities to enhance your stay. There are two shops – one for everyday items and another for Disney souvenirs. For the little princesses in your life, the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique offers princess makeovers. While basic packages start at $60, the full makeover, which includes a beautiful gown (more luxurious than U.S. options), can cost over $200.
The hotel also has a swimming pool, perfect for summertime fun (currently scheduled to open mid-July 2024). If you’re moving to another Tokyo Disney hotel, the luggage transfer service makes things easy.
But one of the biggest perks is the 15-minute early Happy Entry to both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. This exclusive benefit lets you get a head start on the day and ride some of your favorite attractions before the park opens to the public.
For those with accessibility needs, the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel provides accessible Deluxe Rooms with spacious maneuvering areas, grab rails in the bathroom, and a sliding bathroom door. Contact the hotel directly for more details and to ensure you can reserve a room that meets your requirements.
Tips for Making the Most of Your Stay
To make your stay at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel even more magical, keep these tips in mind:
- Happy Entry: Arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled Happy Entry time to ensure you get in line quickly. This will allow you to use the app to plan your day and avoid long lines later.
- Tickets: While online ticket purchases can be challenging with U.S. credit cards, staying at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel guarantees you can purchase tickets at the hotel.
- Pajamas: Request child-size pajamas from the front desk at check-in for a comfortable night’s sleep.
- Room Service: Pre-order early-morning room service the day before to avoid disappointment. The set menu is available for $32 per adult and $19 per child.
- Room Types: Some rooms feature trundle beds, making them perfect for larger families. Carefully read each room description to choose the perfect one for your needs.
A Dream Stay in a Magical Setting
Our time at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel was unforgettable. The combination of enchanting decor, exceptional service, and convenient amenities made it a highlight of our trip.
While the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is the closest option to the park, you can also consider staying at one of the two hotels near Tokyo DisneySea, the Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel and the Tokyo DisneySea MiraCosta Hotel, and its soon-to-open Fantasy Spring section. The staff will even move your luggage for free!
However, if you want to truly feel like you’re staying in a real-life castle, then the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is the ultimate choice. It’s a place where dreams come true, and you’ll leave with memories that will last a lifetime.
