A Magical Journey to Disneyland Paris: What You Need to Know

Get ready for an enchanting adventure! Disneyland Paris offers a unique Disney experience, distinct from its American counterparts. Let’s explore everything you need to know before embarking on your magical journey.

Avengers Assemble: Flight Force adds a superhero vibe to Disneyland Paris

Getting to Disneyland Paris:

Reaching the heart of Disney magic is easier than you think. Located just 30 miles east of Paris, Disneyland Paris is conveniently accessible from Charles de Gaulle Airport via the high-speed TGV train, a mere 12-minute ride to the Marne-la-Vallée Chessy train station, right next to the parks. Alternatively, the Magical Shuttle Bus offers direct transportation from the Paris airports.

If you’re already in Paris, the RER A train will whisk you to Disneyland in about 30 minutes. The Disneyland Paris Express bus is another convenient option, departing from three major locations in the city.

How Long Should You Stay?

Disneyland Paris offers a world of wonder within its two parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. Although smaller than their American counterparts, these parks can be thoroughly enjoyed in two days. However, if you’re staying at a Disneyland hotel, Disney automatically includes park tickets with your stay, granting you a day for each night, plus an extra day.

We spent two nights and found three days of tickets to be more than sufficient. Check out the Disneyland Paris park map to get a sense of the layout and attractions.

Ticket Prices and Savings Tips:

Unlock the magic of Disneyland Paris without breaking the bank. Ticket prices vary depending on the season, with January being the least expensive. You can find affordable tickets between September and March while summer months tend to be pricier. Children under 3 years old are free.

Tickets valid for two days or more grant access to both parks. Purchasing multi-day tickets is a great way to save money if you plan to explore both parks.

Looking for the best deals? Compare prices on the main Disneyland Paris website with the European-based Walt Disney Travel Company site, possibly finding even better deals. Don’t forget to convert Euros to dollars for a fair comparison.

Embrace the magic of Disney Premier Access, similar to “Lightning Lane” in the US. This expedited line access allows you to breeze past long queues at popular attractions. Choose between the Ultimate Pass for access to all eligible attractions or the One Pass for a single attraction at a specific time.

Enhance your Disneyland Paris experience with guaranteed viewing areas for parades and evening shows. Secure your spot at the Broadway-style shows for an unforgettable performance.

Disneyland Paris Hotels:

Immerse yourself in the world of Disney with a stay at one of the exceptional Disneyland Paris hotels. We loved Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, a spacious, clean hotel just minutes from the parks, featuring a New York City theme and Marvel superhero touches.

The Disneyland Hotel, a picture-perfect fairytale palace, is a must-visit for any Disney fan. While it was under renovation during our visit, this hotel offers a unique experience as it directly connects to Disneyland Paris, providing convenience and easy access to the park throughout the day.

The Disneyland Hotel, a stunning five-star property, boasts Disney fairytale themes, transporting you to Belle’s castle in “Beauty and the Beast.” Indulge in fine dining at La Table de Lumière, inspired by the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles. This hotel echoes the elegance of Disney’s Grand Floridian in the United States.

Beyond Disney hotels, a variety of hotels cater to different budgets, including Les Villages Nature Paris.

Disneyland Paris Attractions:

Step into a world of thrilling adventures and whimsical delights! Disneyland Paris boasts attractions unique to the European park.

The Sleeping Beauty Castle is a must-see. While not as tall as its American counterparts, its captivating design, inspired by castles in the Loire Valley, is truly special. Explore the castle’s interior, discovering a retelling of “Sleeping Beauty,” exquisite stained-glass windows crafted by local artisans, and a captivating dungeon where the castle’s dragon awaits.

Phantom Manor, the European version of Disney World’s Haunted Mansion, is a thrilling adventure. Embark on a journey through the American West, a theme that captivates Europeans.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a wild ride that takes you on a thrilling adventure, with the train disappearing beneath a body of water.

Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, the Parisian version of Space Mountain, is a heart-pounding ride similar to Disney World’s Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, but with a more intense experience.

Experience the magic of other beloved attractions: the European Pirates of the Caribbean, It’s a Small World (a more vibrant version than its American counterpart), and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril.

Walt Disney Studios Park offers unique Parisian attractions like Ratatouille: A Recipe for Adventure, Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure, Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop (inspired by “Toy Story”), Crush’s Coaster, and the adrenaline-pumping Avengers Assemble: Flight Force roller coaster.

Delightful Dining at Disneyland Paris:

Prepare for a culinary adventure in the heart of Disney magic!

Walt Disney Studios Park is a culinary haven, with a miniature version of Epcot showcasing food booths offering delightful delicacies from around the world. Bistro Chez Rémy, an adorable restaurant where you’ll feel like a tiny mouse surrounded by larger-than-life objects, is a must-visit.

Reserve your table up to two months in advance through the official website or the Disneyland Paris app. Alternatively, use the app to order food from many restaurants and pick it up when ready, saving you time in line.

Meal plans are available, but unless you plan on dining at multiple sit-down restaurants, skipping them might be more economical.
