Niijima Island is a beautiful and exciting place to visit. I had the pleasure of joining a trip there, and I had an amazing time! What makes this trip even more appealing is that you can go solo without worrying about being lonely. The trip is packed with fun activities for everyone, like snorkeling, cliff jumping, Onsen (hot springs), and beach volleyball.
I was particularly impressed with the Sunday morning breakfast, which was a feast of toast, eggs, sausages, fruits, juice, and milk. It was a great way to start the day. I was so impressed with the trip that I’m already planning to return to Niijima Island soon.
Skiing in the Mountains: A Beginner’s Paradise!
My trip to the mountains was a memorable adventure. The hotel was perfectly located, just steps away from the ski lift and some great restaurants. The wide open course right in front of the hotel was perfect for beginners like me. I got to experience the thrill of fresh powder on both days and was lucky enough to witness a spectacular festival with drumming, food, entertainment, and dazzling snow lamps. The festival was just as enjoyable from the warmth of the hotel as it was outside.
Kozushima Island: A Solo Adventure with Friendly Faces
My first solo island trip to Kozushima Island was a truly unforgettable experience. Even though I was traveling alone, I never felt isolated or unsupported thanks to the friendly staff and fellow travelers. I was sick one night but was quickly helped by the staff and other guests, making my recovery smooth and allowing me to enjoy the rest of the trip.
The boat journey itself was comfortable and enjoyable. It had fantastic facilities like a restaurant, showers, sleeping area, and even a scavenger hunt. You could even purchase snacks, meals, and alcohol on board. The island itself was stunning with its breathtaking ocean views from the well-equipped campground. It even had washlet toilets, charging outlets, and excellent facilities. The Akasaki Promenade was an excellent spot for snorkeling, and the onsen near the campground was relaxing and rejuvenating.
The Tokyo Snow Club also provided fantastic multi-course BBQs every night, fueling us for the day with delicious breakfasts. I am truly grateful to the dedicated staff who went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a wonderful time. I can’t wait to return to Kozushima Island!
Climbing Mount Fuji: A Challenging Yet Rewarding Experience
Climbing Mount Fuji was a daunting yet rewarding challenge. The steep trail and difficult terrain tested my limits, but I was fortunate to have the support of amazing young men who guided our tour. I am particularly grateful to Keiji, whose help was invaluable when my backpack became too heavy to carry. I’d also like to thank Yuki, who provided constant encouragement all the way down the mountain.
Despite being the oldest person in the group surrounded by energetic young people, I had an incredible time. The perfect weather conditions, including clear skies and stunning views of Fujinomiya during the night climb and an amazing sunrise at the summit, made the journey unforgettable.
I recommend packing minimal water and food as you can buy everything you need on the mountain, even though it can be expensive. If you’re considering climbing Mount Fuji, I highly recommend this tour with Tokyo Snow Club!

My hiking experience was truly memorable and enjoyable. The group was incredibly welcoming, and we were lucky to have perfect weather. Everything was well organized and supervised, making the entire trip smooth and stress-free.
